Banaras Vidya Mandir Museum : Varanasi

The Benaras Vidya Mandir Museum, aka Ramnagar Museum, is located within the Ramnagar Fort. Founded in 1964, it is home to many medieval art works, many items related to the royal family of Benaras and many handicraft items. Exhibitions at the museum include elephant saddlery, pieces of decorated art, ornate sedan, various types of clothing, ancient manuscripts, gold-plated Howrah, furniture and many other works of art. Illustrated depiction of Dusshera festivals and ram leela and ivory woven garments are worth seeing. In the museum, royal collections of old cars, palki, weapons and weapons used in royal cars, old guns and antique watches have also been displayed.

January to March and from October to December - 9.00am to 12.30 pm and from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm

From April to September - 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

The museum is closed on Muharram and Vijaya Dashmi.
